Welcome Post

As you can probably tell I am not a very experienced blogger. I was assigned to write this blog for my art class (I think I'll be posting pictures of the art I do).  If you're looking for a blog where one pours their heart and soul onto the paper then let's just say you've been warned. But if you want to stick around I'll be saying plenty of awkward sentences to complete my assignment and entertain my "audience."
Any who,  hello... (awkward) my name is Cara and I'm starting my freshman year of high school. So far all my classes have been going pretty well (as well as school can be).  For my art class, as I mentioned before, I am to tell you my goals for the year. Usually when teachers ask me these kinds of questions I respond with a "What is this future you speak of?" I guess I just don't like the thought of growing up and leaving everything I know and love (omg I'm so deep).  One goal for my art class is that I would like to learn new techniques and improve in general.  We are making sketch books with paper that we stain with watercolor.  Soon we will be drawing shoes! I think we have a great project planned out for us.  I can't wait.  Another goal of mine is not necessarily school related, but still very important to me.  In many schools there has been a lot of talk of bullying and HIB and I, like many, hadn't really taken it seriously.  I really opened my eyes this year and saw things I never did before.  Just because you don't see kids being shoved up on lockers... it's the little things that hurt more. The dirty looks, talking behind people's backs, and many other things. I want to do my part this year to not be that person and to pull up a chair to anyone. Also if you do have a problem with anything talk to someone. They really do want to help you and listen.  I hope you enjoyed my first post (and it completed my assignment).  I'm sure I'll be posting again soon so until then, Au Revoir!
